What is a self catering holiday?
Self catering may sound confusing, but once you understand what it means then booking your holiday will be a breeze! Self catering simply means that the accommodation offers facilities for people to cook their own meals – usually, this comes in the form of a kitchenette.
Self catering holidays are great for young families, those who have special dietary requirements or those after flexible holiday, where they can come and go as they please without worrying about strict meal times!
At Hemsby Beach Holiday Park, all of our accommodation comes with a kitchen or kitchenette, so you can prepare your own meals from the comfort of your chalet, caravan or apartment!
We also have a restaurant on-site, the Quarterdeck, as well as our Fish Bar, ‘Posh Plaice’ in the Yacht Club Leisure Complex! So if you don’t feel like cooking but don’t want to venture too far, our restaurant and fish bar are the perfect option!
What is an all inclusive holiday?
On the flipside are all inclusive holidays, and the clue is in the title. On an all inclusive holiday, your food is usually ‘all included’!
Whilst this seems like a great idea – and it can be! – usually you don’t get to visit the local area because you’re on a schedule at the holiday park. That can be a real shame, as holiday parks are usually situated in picturesque areas with lots of culture, attractions and more!
Our park is located in the traditional seaside resort of Hemsby, with lots of fun attractions, things to do and places to see in the local area in Norfolk. You can find out more about things to do in Norfolk on our website here.
