A favourite amongst young kids, older children and adults alike is BeWILDerwood! This award-winning adventure park is based up in the treetops, allowing you to explore their Sky Maze to your hearts content. The park features a lot of other fun activities, from Wobbly Wires to The Broken Bridge. There’s also Toddlewood Valley and Toddlewood on the Hill for smaller adventurers, and you can make your way into the park by boat through the Dismal Dyke if you dare – the deepest, darkest, and pongiest marshes which lead to the Scaaaaary Lake! There are also a couple of places to grab a bite to eat or have a picnic, and there’s also somewhere quiet for nursing mums to make sure the smallest visitors get something to eat as well.


Dinosaur Adventure Park

A definite must for those who are fans of dinosaurs, the Dinosaur Adventure Park is a little further afield in Lenwade to the West of Norwich but worth the trip. With a Dinosaur Trail featuring life-size model dinosaurs, stamps to collect along the way, and field stations with interactive sounds along the way, the Dinosaur Trail will take you on a twisting path through nature and dinosaurs. You can also try your hand at archaeology in the X-Tinction dig pit – see what you can find! There is also Assault-O-Saurus, Climb-A-Saurus, and Dippy’s Splash Zone where the kids can round around, play and have fun!



Joyland is a children’s fun park located on the coastline of Norfolk in the lively seaside town of Great Yarmouth. With a large Toy Town Mountain featuring the Spook Express Kiddie Coaster, jet cars as well as Neptunes Kingdom Undersea Fantasty Ride and theme park classic Pirate Ship. The park also as the unique Tyrolean Tub Twist and the iconic Snails ride! If you’re feeling a little hungry, the park also has an American Diner next door.


Pettitts Animal Adventure Park

A great day out for all the family, Pettitts Animal Adventure Park is 3 parks in 1. With animals, rides and live entertainment, there’s plenty to see and do to fill your day. From the tiny guinea pig to the long-necked alpaca, Pettitts has a variety of animals for you to see, and some you can even cuddle in dedicated sessions. Bubbly Bingo the Clown and Maxi Mouse also have 3 free live shows a day in the park’s theatre. The park also features a series of gentle rides, from Cups & Saucers to the slightly more adventurous roller coaster. There’s also an Alice in Wonderland ride, Toad of Toad Hall vintage cars, and more!


Pleasure Beach

One of the best adventure and theme parks in Norfolk and Suffolk is Great Yarmouth’s Pleasure Beach.On Great Yarmouth’s Golden Mile is Pleasure Beach, a fun seaside theme park filled with a variety of rides, from thrill rides to family rides, kiddie rides to retro rides, there’s something for everyone. Why not take a trip on Pleasure Beach’s star attraction, their traditional wooden Roller Coaster? Opened in 1932, the roller coaster is still the main attraction at the seaside’s theme park. Or if you’re feeling a little less brave, there are other traditional rides such as Snails and Fairy Tales to enjoy, or Gallopers. For thrill-seekers there’s the brilliant Log Fume, and the new for 2017 Reverse Time, a spinning ride that lifts into the air and spins at 20 revolutions per minute – try it if you think you’re brave enough!


Pleasurewood Hills

With 3 main ride types, Thrill, Family, and Kiddie rides, Pleasurewood Hills has something for every member of the family. With their famous Wipeout rollercoaster, the largest in the region, and Enigma, those who love their thrills will want to go again and again! For younger members of the family, the park’s Kiddie rides include Flying Elephants and a Mini Twister, as well as the Pleasurewood Ponies and Woody Copter.
