Things to Do with the Kids this Easter in Norfolk 2017

At Hemsby Beach Holiday Park we have lots to keep the kids entertained during the day until the late evening over the Easter break, but there’s plenty of special Easter events in and around the nearby seaside town of Great Yarmouth for those who fancy a day out. From Easter trails galore to circus performances, there’s plenty to see, do, and get involved with this Easter in Norfolk.

Easter Egg Ramble at the Wind Energy Museum, Repps with Bastwick

A delightful Easter walk along the river Thurne, this Easter Egg Ramble sees you start at The Wind Energy Museum, collect your Bunny Trail Pack, and follow the bunnies to meet the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny will give the kids an Easter egg, and the return walk to The Wind Energy Museum takes you via the wildlife-haven of Dewbeck Woods. As well as the Easter trail, there’s arts and crafts to take part in and refreshments are available at either end of the trail. For smaller ones who might not be up to the walk there’s a mini-trail at the Museum so they can join in the fun, too!

Entrance for children is £3.50 and includes an Easter egg, Adults go free.

 

Easter at Amazona Zoo, Cromer

Why not take a day out to the zoo? On Easter Sunday, each child who visits Amazona Zoo will receive a free crème egg! This lovely zoo in the seaside town of Cromer is around a 45-minute drive from Hemsby Beach Holiday Park, but is worth a visit for the 200 South American animals that call it home! From spider monkeys to flamginos, jaguars to capybaras, why not spend Easter with these lovely animals – and grab a crème egg for the kids!

 

Easter Treasure Trail at Great Yarmouth Market Place, Great Yarmouth

In the centre of Great Yarmouth is the Town Centre Easter Treasure trail – and there’s more than chocolate eggs at stake! Why not bring the family down and take part in the treasure trail to try and win a week’s worth of family days out in some of the coasts’ best attractions? You can also have up to 3-hours free parking by taking park in the Treasure Trail, giving you and the family plenty of time to hunt for clues! With free entry, this is a fantastic day out with the kids this Easter in Great Yarmouth.

 

Performance at Hippodrome Circus is great for Easter in Norfolk

Pirates Live! at The Hippodrome Circus, Great Yarmouth

The famous Hippodrome Circus in Great Yarmouth is open over Easter, with chaos and laughter from the pirates. Specially created for Great Yarmouth’s Hippodrome water spectacle, the Pirates Live All Action Water Show features set design by the company who worked on The Pirates of the Caribbean movie – sure to be a favourite amongst young Jack Sparrows! Already a smash hit, this version of the show is a new version and bound to thrill the family. With performances from the start of April across the whole of the Easter holidays, this is a spectacular activity for Easter in Great Yarmouth.
