Heritage Open Days returns This September for 4 Days of History and Culture in Norfolk!
Heritage Open Days brings some fun and free events to Norfolk this September from the 7th – 10th September 2017 that the whole family can enjoy! With events located all around Norfolk, guests at Hemsby Beach Holiday Park can enjoy events in the local seaside towns of Caister and Great Yarmouth – and the best part is that all of the events are free!
Often heralded as ‘England’s favourite heritage festival’, Heritage Open Days and around 40,000 volunteers bring free events to counties across the country each September! Perfect for lovers of history and culture, Norfolk is rich with both and so there’s no shortage of events across the four days of the festival.
Some events you can enjoy close-by to Hemsby Beach Holiday Park includes Caister Volunteer lifeboats tours and talks, and Great Yarmouth’s medieval town wall tours across all four days (times permitting). You can also visit the Time & Tide museum between the 9th and 10th of September 2017 to explore the Coronation YH671 between 10:00am and 4:30pm, a shrimper boat, as well as take part in HODs guided walk of the ‘Glorious Memories of the Golden Mile’, which takes place at 2:00pm on the 10th September 2017.
There are plenty more events in the area that are fun and free for all the family. You can see more about this on the Heritage Open Days website.
