Richardson’s celebrate Norfolk Day with the launch of giant bucket and spades

Richardson’s are pleased to announce the launch of our giant bucket and spade trail alongside the start of the school summer holidays and Norfolk Day on 27th July 2019!

The sculptures will be located around the local area, with one at our Richardson’s Boating Holidays marina in Stalham, one at our Richardson’s Day Boat marina in Wroxham, one at our Hemsby Beach Holiday Park, one at our Yacht Club Bar & Posh Plaice in Hemsby and the last one at our Richardson’s Family Entertainment Centre in Lowestoft!

Greg Munford, our Chief Executive, hopes families will get involved by taking photos whilst donating to our charity partner, Break.

He said: “We are delighted to be celebrating Norfolk Day by supporting not only our partnership with Break but also involving the local community and engaging with local schools. The designs are fantastic, and we look forward to seeing everyone’s photos.”

Rachel Cowdry, Interim CEO at Break, said: “We are thrilled to be involved in this wonderful Bucket and Spade trail as everyone knows we love a good sculpture trail at Break!  We are grateful to be working with Richardson’s as a long term charity partner and the money raised from this event will go to making happy memories for our vulnerable young people this summer.

We would like to pay tribute to the amazing art work of the local schools involved and we are looking forward to seeing how much children and young people enjoy the trail.  We hope that lots of people come along and take part in the Bucket and Spade trail with Richardson’s this summer, and bring their own buckets and spades too and enjoy our beautiful south Norfolk coast!”

Local primary schools have helped design the seaside sculptures including Rackheath Primary School, Bignold Primary and Nursery School, Browick Road Primary School, Hickling Infant and PreSchool and Ormiston Herman Academdy, all showcasing the very best of Norfolk.

We’re encouraging our guests and visitors to share their photos across social media, tagging us @HemsbyBeachHolidayPark on Instagram or our Facebook page www.facebook.com/HemsbyBeachHolidayPark. Don’t forget to support our charity partner, Break, who help vulnerable young people by texting ‘BUCKET’ to 70470 to donate £3.00, where all proceeds made will be matched by us at Richardson’s.
